Introduction to Kyle Hedstrom, Head Golf Professional, and his staff follow:
Kyle Hedstrom – Head Golf
Professional
Kyle Hedstrom was born and
raised in Newington, Connecticut. He began his golf career at Indian Hill
CC. Kyle attended Newington High School and Central Connecticut State
University where he played on the golf team. His professional career began
in 1997 at Ellington Ridge Country Club where he was an Assistant for 3
years. During his tenure at Ellington, Kyle won the TaylorMade-Adidas
Assistants’ Championship in 2000. He then moved to the Black Hall Club for
one season before moving to Shuttle Meadow Country Club in 2001. Kyle has
served as Secretary, Vice-president, and President of the Connecticut Section
Assistants’ Association. In 2002, Kyle won the Connecticut Section Assistant
Golf Professional of the Year. At the start of the 2004 golf season, he
accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at Stanley Golf Course. He currently lives in Wethersfield, CT with his
wife Leanne and son Jack.
Nick Hudyma – Assistant
Golf Professional
Nick Hudyma was born and raised in New Britain, Connecticut. He began his
golf career at the age of 10, playing out of Stanley Golf Course for the
past 13 years. Nick graduated from New Britain High School in 2000 where he
was an All-State and All-Region baseball player, and attended Fairfield
University where he played baseball on scholarship for the Stags. He
recently graduated Fairfield University in 2004 with a degree in business
management. After a brief stint in the financial sector of the business
world, enthusiastically accepted the Assistant Golf Professional position at
Stanley Golf Course in early 2005. His love for the game and desire to help
people will contribute greatly in serving all who play here at Stanley.
He’s currently enrolled in the extensive PGA Golf Professional Training
Program.
Bobby Myles – Assistant Golf Professional
Bobby
was born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut. Bobby is an accomplished
player that has been a student of the game for 9 years. While attending
Central Connecticut State University, he was named to the all-conference and
all-New England golf teams 4 consecutive years. He also won his conference
championship in 2004. Bobby was named NEIGA Player of the Year for
2003-2004. He has an excellent understanding of the golf swing and loves to
teach. Bobby accepted the assistant professional position at Stanley Golf
Course in early 2005. He’s currently enrolled in the extensive PGA Golf
Professional Training Program.
